Job summary

STEP Education Pte. Ltd. operates seven coding and technology education centres in Singapore and is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee the company’s financial operations, strengthen financial controls and support its continued growth.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will manage accounting across seven centres, prepare monthly statements, budgets and cash flow forecasts, and ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards and tax rules.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting processes.
• Experience in cash flow management and internal controls is essential.
• Good understanding of Singapore accounting standards and taxation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations, accounting and reporting across seven education centres.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor revenue, operating costs and profitability across individual centres.
• Manage financial planning, budgeting and cost-control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, banks and other professional service providers.
• Develop and maintain effective internal financial controls and reporting procedures.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support business decisions.
