Job summary

vertexsolutions is seeking an Account Manager – Energy Markets to drive growth across APAC. You will build market and product knowledge, shape commercial proposals, and support the full sales process through to contract execution.

You will manage opportunities, develop existing accounts, negotiate contracts, and expand client networks. The role partners with the Head of Commercial and is active at industry events to raise the firm's profile in energy markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a sales-driven role in APAC, ideally energy-related software, data products or advisory services.
• Strong commercial mindset with pipeline management skills.
• Proven track record in generating new business and growing accounts.
• Customer-first approach with deep understanding of client priorities and workflows.
• Experience structuring and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Collaborative in fast-moving, cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

• Build strong market and product knowledge to align energy advisory and solutions to client needs across the APAC region.
• Proactively engage prospective and existing clients, shape commercial proposals and support the full sales process through to contract execution.
• Track and manage opportunities across the sales cycle, maintaining accurate pipeline visibility and delivering an excellent client experience.
• Develop and grow relationships within existing accounts, identifying opportunities to expand engagement and deliver additional value.
• Generate new business by identifying and qualifying leads across domestic and international energy markets.
• Structure and negotiate commercial contracts with clients across a diverse range of market segments.
• Gather market intelligence and client feedback to inform and shape new product propositions and advisory offerings.
• Collaborate with marketing to develop sales materials and identify effective channels to support growth in key markets.
• Work closely with the Head of Commercial and Partners to align sales activity with broader business strategy.
• Represent the firm at industry events, conferences and client engagements to build profile and expand networks.
