Job summary

Singapore National Eye Centre, within SingHealth, seeks a communications professional to lead media relations and counsel stakeholders across research and clinical domains. The role focuses on positioning SingHealth as a thought leader through strategic messaging, media materials, and proactive engagement with local and international outlets.

You will manage reputational risks, develop compelling content, and coordinate events to maximise media exposure for the cluster.

Qualifications

• Good Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong news sense and an established media network; sound knowledge of current affairs.
• Excellent command of English. Proficiency in a second language is preferred.
• Good grasp of new communication tools and trends.
• Adept at project management, able to work independently and in a team with strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to support events outside regular hours and be contactable after hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Drive media relations for SingHealth stakeholders to position SingHealth as a thought leader.
• Develop strategic messages and media materials aligned with corporate objectives; provide counsel to internal stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with media contacts and monitor reputational risks; respond to issues promptly.
• Propose story concepts, supervise production of materials, and seek profiling opportunities internally and externally.
• Organise and manage events from concept to execution; contribute to daily healthcare media reporting.
