Job summary

Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Inc. in Singapore seeks a seasoned commodity manager to lead sourcing strategies for mechanical modules and related parts, ensuring supply continuity and cost competitiveness across global operations.

You will drive supplier selection, performance management, risk mitigation, and new product introductions, partnering closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams to strengthen resilience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commodity management or strategic sourcing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Strong experience in cross-functional and global teams.
• Proven cost reduction, value engineering, and supplier negotiations.
• Hands-on cost benchmarking, RFQ analysis, and sourcing strategy development.
• Good understanding of mechanical commodities, materials, processes and markets.
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP or Oracle) including purchasing and material master data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Project management and change management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of sourcing and commodity strategies for mechanical modules, subassemblies, fabrication parts, and cable assemblies to ensure supply continuity and cost competitiveness.
• Drive supplier selection, performance management, cost reduction, risk mitigation, and new product introduction initiatives with engineering, operations, and quality teams.
• Build strong supplier partnerships and leverage market intelligence, cost analysis, and strategic sourcing practices to improve quality, delivery, and resilience.
