Job summary

Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Inc. in Singapore seeks an experienced procurement professional to lead new product sourcing and manage supplier relations across the value chain.

This role collaborates with Engineering, Quality, Commodity and NPI teams to drive on-time launches and target costs from design through production. You will optimize BOM usage, engage overseas suppliers, and influence design decisions to achieve best-in-class cost, quality and availability while thriving in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
• Typically 5 years or more of relevant experience.
• Procurement or Material Engineering experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of geometric tolerances.
• Experience creating or modifying manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Experience in managing overseas suppliers.
• Understand BOM structure, interpret drawings/specifications and familiar with Engineering Change Process.
• Experience in Operation Management or capital equipment design is a plus.
• Strong Analytical, planning and interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement.
• Positive and able to work in fast-paced environment.
• Mature, independent and results-oriented.
• Able to work with different departments / functional groups.
• Some travel is required for the role (not a lot of travel).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and managing new products; research requirements and strategy.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Commodity and NPI for launches.
• Involve suppliers early in NPI from design to mass production.
• Ensure cost, quality and availability across lifecycle.
• Negotiate supplier terms and drive cost reductions.
• Build strong supplier relationships and cross-functional collaboration.
• Partner with Category teams on commodity strategy.
• Analyze lead times and critical paths; prioritize demand.
• Participate in project meetings to identify solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
