Job summary

Vallen Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Buyer to manage inventory and supplier relations, ensuring timely replenishment, updated purchase agreements and adherence to cost targets. You will monitor ETAs, expedite orders and maintain high service levels for customer accounts.

The role emphasizes strong analytical abilities, effective communication, and collaboration with internal teams to drive cost savings and lead-time improvements while complying with procurement policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related discipline.
• Experience in MRO products.
• Good customer service skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Good team player with the ability to work effectively under deadlines.
• Good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that purchase agreements are kept updated.
• Manage daily processing of replenishment orders (Stocked & Ad-hoc) to ensure timely delivery, including releasing orders to suppliers, updating and follow up for ETAs, etc.
• Ensure all the overdue PO’s are closely followed up.
• Leverage from internal network for existing pricing and manage freight effectively to ensure cost optimization.
• Develop and implement programs with suppliers and internal team members that address lead time, order fill rate performance, quality performance, cost reduction and technical improvements.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
• Ensure world class customer service is achieved.
• Ensure compliance with Vallen’s procurement & planning policies and procedures.
