Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Lead Stowage Planning professional to steer the planning team across Intra Asia services from Singapore. You will optimise vessel capacity, cargo intake and crane productivity while ensuring safety, compliance, and high-quality customer outcomes.

The role requires strong hands-on stowage planning experience, proven people leadership, and the ability to navigate complex operational priorities with analytical rigor and collaborative leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead team performance and deliver safe, optimised stowage plans to improve capacity utilisation and crane productivity.
• Monitor vessel capacity, intake and utilisation, coordinating with Ocean Fulfilment, Deployment and Network teams.
• Collaborate with regional operations, Ocean Network Product and terminal operators to improve service delivery.
• Identify operational risks early and coordinate preventive or mitigating actions.
• Manage first-level escalations and contingencies with timely information flow to the team and Regional Stowage Manager.
• Build an engaging working environment and support development and capability growth.
• Plan resources, rosters and leave to ensure effective team deployment and business continuity.
• Drive operational excellence through structural solutions, SOP improvements, change management and adoption of new standards and technology.
• Maintain up-to-date stowage-planning practices and stay current on processes, policies and standards.
