Job summary

SM System Control Pte Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support daily warehouse operations in Singapore. You will unload goods from containers, receive and inspect shipments, and ensure accurate stock movement.

Responsibilities include lifting heavy items, stocking shelves, picking orders, and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse. Strong teamwork and basic English/Mandarin communication are required.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy goods.
• Able to work in a warehouse environment and handle container unloading.
• Basic communication skills in English and/or Mandarin to liaise with staff, vendors and transporters.

Responsibilities

• Unload goods from containers.
• Receive and inspect goods from vendors.
• Inspect for damage and quality.
• Move goods around the store and stock shelves.
• Record movements and pick orders for customers.
• Stock check to ensure coherence with stock movements.
• Maintain store premises in safe working condition.
• Liaise with office staff and transporters to facilitate logistics.

1. Unloading goods from containers.

2. Receiving and inspecting goods from vendors.

3. Inspecting for damage.

4. Moving goods around a store.

5. Stocking shelves and stacking heavy goods safely.

6. Picking goods from shelves and recording their movements.

7. Stock checking of inventories to ensure coherency with stock movements.

8. Packing and sending orders to customers.

9. Maintaining store premises in proper and safe working conditions.

10. To liase with and facilitate smooth logistical operations with others and office personnel.

Job Requirements :

• At least a secondary school or NITEC qualification.

• Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in a warehouse, storekeeping or logistics role (preferred).

• Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy goods safely.

• Able to work in a warehouse environment and handle container unloading.

• Basic communication skills in English and/or Mandarin to liaise with office staff, vendors and transporters.

• Forklift licence or bizSAFE / workplace safety certification (an advantage).

• Responsible, hardworking and a good team player.
