Job summary

Shangri-La Singapore is seeking an Operational / Store Steward Manager to lead daily stewarding and store operations in our luxury hotel, set among 15 acres near Orchard Road. You will manage receiving, storage, issuing, inventory control, hygiene and safety standards, and supervise a large team of stewarding staff, while coordinating with Culinary, F&B, Procurement and Engineering.

Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management with 5 years' relevant experience is required, along with strong

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in stewarding, stores, or operational management, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene, food safety standards, and inventory control procedures.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing large operational teams.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Computer-literate with knowledge of inventory or stock management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily stewarding and store operations to ensure efficient and smooth workflow.
• Manage the receiving, storage, issuing, and control of food, beverage, and operating supplies.
• Ensure accurate inventory management, stock rotation (FIFO), and proper storage practices.
• Conduct quality checks on incoming deliveries to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Implement and monitor hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards across stewarding and storage areas.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and develop stewarding and store associates.
• Ensure proper use, handling, and maintenance of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Control operational costs through effective inventory planning and waste management.
• Coordinate with Culinary, F&B, Procurement, and Engineering teams for operational effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and hotel policies at all times.
