Job summary

Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa, Singapore is seeking a Chief Steward to lead the Stewarding department, ensuring efficient daily operations, maintaining high cleanliness and food safety standards, and collaborating with Kitchen and F&B teams across the resort and attraction precinct.

You will supervise Stewarding Supervisors and Service Associates, manage inventory and equipment, monitor use and maintenance, enforce hygiene policies, and support events and daily operations with a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• Demonstrated supervisory experience in stewarding or related hospitality operations.
• Knowledge of cleaning agents, chemicals, and cleaning processes to maintain hygiene standards.
• Thorough understanding of stewarding practices and operating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Stewarding department operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with the standards.
• Lead and supervise Stewarding Supervisors and Service Associates to achieve operational goals.
• Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of stewarding and dishwashing equipment availability.
• Monitor cleanliness, maintenance, and proper use of stewarding and dishwashing equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Ensure adequate supplies of cleaning chemicals and stewarding equipment are available to support daily functions.
• Track and report breakages, losses, and wastage of stewarding equipment to minimize operational costs.
• Enforce compliance with cleaning, hygiene, and food safety policies across the Stewarding department.
• Collaborate closely with Kitchen, Food & Beverage, and Banquet teams to support daily operations and special events.

Job Summary

As a Chief Steward , we rely on you to:

• Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of stewarding and dishwashing equipment availability
• Monitor cleanliness, maintenance, and proper use of stewarding and dishwashing equipment to ensure operational readiness

We are looking for someone who:

• Demonstrated initiative, commitment, and strong sense of responsibility in stewarding or related hospitality roles
• Supervisory experience within Stewarding or hospitality operations
• Knowledge of cleaning agents, chemicals, and cleaning processes to maintain hygiene standards
• Thorough understanding of stewarding practices and operating equipment
• Commitment to upholding high cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
• Familiarity with Food Safety and hygiene regulations
• Willingness to work shifts as required
