Job summary

Nanyang Junior College seeks a capable Laboratory Support staff to perform routine lab maintenance and support STEM instructors. Responsibilities include opening/locking labs, cleaning spaces and equipment, and preparing apparatus and reagents for practical sessions.

The role prefers candidates with primary education and some English literacy, and previous science lab experience at a junior college. Flexible work hours apply during exams, with holidays on Saturdays/Sundays and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Primary education and ability to read and write simple English.
• Ability to handle chemicals, including acids and bases, with some knowledge of laboratory safety.
• At least one year of science laboratory experience in a junior college is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open and lock laboratory doors and windows.
• Clean laboratories, workspaces, equipment and other assigned school premises.
• Prepare apparatus, equipment and reagents for practical sessions.
• Wash, maintain and store laboratory apparatus and materials.
• Support STEM instructors and perform other assigned duties.
