Job summary

MOE Junior College is seeking a proactive Science Lab Assistant to support laboratory operations and provide admin assistance, reporting to HOD/LH-Science and VP Administration. You'll work with school leaders to ensure smooth operations.

The role involves maintaining labs, preparing apparatus and reagents, ensuring safety, and supporting STEM instructors. Working hours align with school schedule; contract runs 2027; location near Serangoon & Lorong Chuan MRT.

Qualifications

• Primary school education with ability to read and write in simple English.
• Must be able to handle chemicals such as acids and bases.
• Some knowledge of Science laboratory safety.

Responsibilities

• Open and lock science laboratories doors and windows to ensure safety and security of the premises
• Maintain general cleanliness and tidiness of lab equipment and workspaces
• Maintain general cleanliness of school premises as assigned
• Assist in the preparation of apparatus, equipment and chemical reagents for Science Practical lessons
• Clean, maintain and store science laboratory apparatus, equipment and materials
• Provide support STEM instructors and assist with other related duties as assigned
