Job summary

NUS High School of Mathematics and Science seeks an Assistant Head of Department for Curriculum & Assessment to lead planning, development and teaching of a seamless 6-year curriculum, and to mentor research initiatives.

The successful candidate will drive ICT-enabled learning, implement differentiated instruction, supervise assessment practices, and contribute as a CCA teacher and form-teacher for high-ability students aged 12+ to 18.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree.
• Professional teaching qualification (or PGDE equivalent).
• Competent in teaching GCE O-Level content or GCE A-Level H2 content.
• Driven to support the HoD in curriculum and assessment development.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, and teaching of an integrated 6-year curriculum.
• Inspire high-ability learners and mentor research projects.
• Contribute as a CCA teacher and form-teacher, inside and outside the classroom.
• Adopt innovative pedagogies such as IT-enabled learning and differentiated instruction.
• Review, develop and evaluate curriculum and assessment practices.
