Job summary

Sunnyhill Ace in Singapore seeks a hands-on STEM Centre Coordinator to manage the JOULES Programme and ALP Makerspace. You will set up equipment, supervise sessions, and support teachers during lessons.

You will also handle operations, inventory, and procurement while attending sponsored professional development to stay ahead in STEM trends. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with school holiday adjustments.

Qualifications

• A Polytechnic Diploma, preferably in a STEM-related discipline; candidates without a diploma but with strong technical experience are welcome.
• Ideally 3 years of relevant experience in prototyping, manufacturing environments, or school labs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for teamwork and teaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up STEM equipment and devices for student lessons.
• Manage day-to-day operations, maintenance, and staff booking for the JOULES Smart Centre.
• Create, monitor, and update equipment checklists; document damaged or missing assets.
• Assist trainers and teachers during lessons; capable of independent workshops for students.
• Attend fully-sponsored professional development workshops with teaching staff.
• Supervise students to ensure safe tool handling within the Makerspace.
• Install, layout, and operate prototyping equipment (3D printers, laser cutters, VR systems).
• Collaborate with ALP Committee to manage resource budget, source materials, and procure items.
