Job summary

Seacare Manpower Services Pte Ltd seeks a STEM Lab Support Specialist to assist with JOULES and ALP programmes. You will prepare and maintain STEM equipment, including 3D printers, laser cutters and VR systems, and support teachers and students in a busy Makerspace environment.

The role involves managing inventory, ensuring safety, and contributing to professional development sessions. This is an on-site, 10-month contract in a school setting, with fixed daily hours.

Qualifications

• Diploma in STEM or related discipline, preferably with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Candidates without Diploma but with relevant experience may be considered.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Meticulous, independent and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of prototyping, fabrication techniques, machines and materials would be an advantage.
• Experience in Makerspace, STEM education or technical support will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the school's JOULES and ALP programmes and assist with STEM lessons.
• Prepare, set up and maintain STEM equipment such as micro sensors, solar panels and other devices.
• Support operation and maintenance of the JOULES Smart Centre and Makerspace.
• Assist teachers during STEM lessons and provide support to students.
• Manage equipment inventory, stock checks and maintenance records.
• Supervise students in the safe and proper use of Makerspace equipment.
• Assist with operation of equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutters and VR systems.
• Support safety procedures, procurement and resource management.
• Keep the Smart Centre and Makerspace clean, safe and organised.
• Participate in relevant STEM training, workshops and professional development sessions.
