Job summary

Laksa Empire Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is hiring a Stall Assistant to support food preparation, cooking, plating and daily stall operations while learning various kitchen processes.

You will work closely with the chef and team, handling tasks from prep to service during peak hours, with emphasis on food safety and hygiene. Training is provided, and progression opportunities exist as the brand expands.

Qualifications

• Experience in F&B, food stalls, food courts, hawker stalls, restaurants, or kitchens is preferred.
• Experience in food preparation, cooking, or plating is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn cooking and food preparation according to recipes and SOPs.
• Food Safety Course Level 1 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the chef/cook with food preparation and cooking during daily operations to maintain service flow.
• Prepare, portion, and replenish ingredients to ensure availability during service.
• Monitor ingredient levels and prepare batches in advance to maintain continuous supply during peak periods.
• Cook selected ingredients following SOPs and food safety requirements.
• Assemble and plate laksa and other menu items according to standard portions and presentation guidelines.
• Pack takeaway orders accurately to meet customer expectations.
• Assist with taking customer orders, cashiering, and payment processing when needed.
• Receive, organise, and store ingredients properly to maintain freshness and hygiene.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of cooking stations, food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Assist with washing dishes and general cleaning duties to support stall upkeep.
• Support opening and closing procedures to ensure readiness and proper shutdown of the stall.
• Collaborate closely with the chef/cook and team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety protocols at all times to ensure compliance and safety.

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Stall Assistant to join our growing team, supporting food preparation, cooking, plating and daily stall operations while learning different aspects of our kitchen operations.
