Job summary

United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) seeks a Technology Development staff / senior engineer for RF SOI process development, driving advancements in RF front-end technologies for wireless, 5G, and beyond. You will work across R&D, product, and manufacturing to achieve performance, reliability, and cost targets.

You will lead development for 2DIC and 3DIC RF processes, collaborate with device teams to optimize RF performance, and drive yield, reliability, and production transfer.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, semiconductor physics, or related field.
• 3+ years of RF semiconductor technology development, with a strong focus on SOI platforms.
• Proven track record in developing and transferring RF technologies to high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize RFSOI process technologies for 2DIC and 3DIC.
• Collaborate with device teams to co-optimize RF performance and layout for high-volume manufacturing.
• Drive yield improvement, reliability testing, and failure analysis for RFSOI products.

This role is pivotal in driving the advancement of RF front-end solutions for wireless communication, 5G, future 6G, IoT, and satellite applications. You will collaborate across engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to deliver cutting-edge RF SOI technologies that meet performance, reliability, and cost targets.
