Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a CE PYE FA Engineer to provide full fault isolation and failure analysis support for qualifications, customer returns, new device introduction, and test failures.

You will become the subject matter expert on fault isolation and physical failure analysis methods, collaborating with Process Integration, Product, Test, and Quality teams to ensure defects are root-caused and classified.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Materials Science, or equivalent.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong teamwork.
• Ability to communicate complex information effectively in meetings and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Perform sophisticated electrical device characterization to determine fail mechanisms.
• Operate fault isolation equipment to narrow down defect locations.
• Conduct physical failure analysis to identify and classify defects.
• Hypothesize failure mechanisms based on electrical models and FA characterization.
• Collaborate with frontend to backend teams and Global Quality to resolve issues.
• Present comprehensive FA results weekly to drive improvements.
• Develop and implement new fault isolation techniques to stay ahead.
• Lead and guide CE PYE technicians, fostering collaboration and excellence.
• Coordinate maintenance and uptime of FA tools for efficiency.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and quality.
