Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an Engineer CE PYE to lead physical failure analysis and fault isolation for qualification, customer returns, and new device introductions.

You will master fault isolation methods and work with Product Engineering to ensure defects are root-caused and classified. You will collaborate across frontend/backend teams and the Global Quality department, presenting findings and developing new techniques to stay ahead of industry standards while maintaining high tool

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Materials Science.
• Demonstrated teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills and strong communication.
• Familiarity with fault isolation equipment and physical failure analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical device characterization to identify fail mechanisms.
• Operate fault isolation equipment to pinpoint defect locations.
• Conduct physical failure analysis to classify defects.
• Hypothesize electrical or process fail mechanisms to support improvements.
• Collaborate with frontend to backend teams and Global Quality to resolve defects.
• Present electrical and physical failure mechanisms weekly to drive improvements.
