Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. Central Engineering (CE) - Product Yield Enhancement (PYE) Engineering Team, seeks an FA Engineer to provide fault isolation and failure analysis for qualifications, returns, and new device introduction.

You will become an expert in fault isolation and physical failure analysis, collaborating across Product, Test, and Quality teams. You will lead a team of CE PYE technicians, develop new techniques, and ensure tools are well maintained.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Materials Science, or equivalent.
• Proven team player with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to present in large meetings.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical device characterization to determine fail mechanisms.
• Operate fault isolation equipment to narrow down defect locations.
• Conduct physical failure analysis to identify and classify defects.
• Develop and hypothesize failure mechanisms to support process improvements.
• Collaborate with frontend to backend and GQ teams to resolve defects.
• Prepare and present failure analyses weekly to drive improvements.
• Lead CE PYE technicians and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Coordinate maintenance and uptime of fault isolation and analysis tools.
• Integrate AI-assisted insights to improve efficiency and quality.
