Sree Narayana Mission (Singapore) – Meranti Home @ Pelangi Village is seeking a Diploma-qualified nurse to care for residents, perform routine procedures for new admissions and returns, and coordinate medical appointments with doctors and hospitals. You will update medical records daily, work with OT/PT on therapy, supervise assistants, deliver health education, and participate in in-service training.

Qualifications

• Min Diploma in Nursing and registered with Singapore Nursing Board
• Good team player & able to work well independently
• Good communicator, both verbal & written
• 6 days work week, no night shift

Responsabilités

• Screen, treat and provide nursing care to sick residents
• Attend/carry out routine procedures for all new admissions and residents returned after absconding ego urine test, blood sugar test, rectal swab etc
• Refer sick residents for medical examination by the doctor
• Arrange the appointment cards and transport of residents attending appointment at hospitals and polyclinics
• Follow-up on residents who have been transferred to hospitals
• Update the residents' medical cards daily e.g., diagnosis, treatment, transfer, appointments and discharges from hospitals
• Work closely with the OT or PT on therapy programmes and carry out simple exercise using physiotherapy equipment, when required
• Carry out daily rounds in the dormitories and supervise mealtimes
• Give first-aid treatment for emergency cases
• Refer ill residents to hospital in the absence of the doctor
• Supervise the Assistant Nurse in their work
• Give Health Education Talks to residents
• Participate in in-service education programme
• Order and maintain supplies and equipment
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Nursing Officer or Superintendent from time to time
