THYE HUA KWAN MORAL CHARITIES LIMITED in Singapore invites a qualified nurse to join our team as a nursing officer. You will provide direct nursing care, administer medications, and support residents with daily living activities.
Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, coordinating admissions and appointments, updating medical records, and ensuring the cleanliness of treatment areas and wards. Rotating shifts across multiple locations may apply.
Provide nursing care, including administering medication, carrying out treatments, responding to emergencies, and supervising the personal hygiene of residents.
Teach and guide residents in their daily routines and appropriate behaviours.
Mentor and provide guidance to Nursing Aides and Enrolled Nurses in the delivery of care and daily nursing practices.
Ensure the general cleanliness of the premises.
Ensure that the treatment room, sick bay, time out room, and nurse's station are kept clean and tidy.
Screen, treat and provide nursing care to sick residents;
Attend/carry out routine procedures for all new admissions and residents returned from absconding;
Refer sick residents for medical examination by the doctor;
Arrange the appointment cards and transport of residents attending appointments at hospitals and polyclinics;
Follow-up on residents who have been referred to hospitals; Update the residents' medical cards daily eg. diagnosis, treatment, transfer, appointments and discharges from hospitals;
Serve medication to residents and supervise residents at meal times;
Give first-aid treatment for emergency cases; Refer ill residents to hospital in the absence of the doctor;
Supervise Assistant Nurses, Nursing Aides and Health Attendants in their work;
Supervise the needs of residents who are attending morning school or going to work;
Carry out necessary investigation arising from any incident that had taken place in the Home and update the Superintendent and Manager;
Order and maintain supplies and equipment;
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent from time to any time.
Recognised nursing qualification and registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
Preferably candidate with at least 1 yr of working experience;
Comfortable working with children and adults with multiple disabilities;
Able to perform rotating shift work location: Chai Chee / Sembawang / Eunos / Jurong East
