Job summary

THE LENTOR RESIDENCE PTE LTD is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist Staff Nurses in delivering quality care for residents in a nursing home setting. The role involves rounds, medication support, admissions orientation, and coordinating therapies and transport.

You will work in shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays, with supervision of junior staff to maintain resident comfort and safety. Relevant nursing qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled with Singapore Nursing Board.
• ITE Certificate in Nursing.
• Ability to work shift schedules including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care following approved nursing practice standards to ensure resident well-being.
• Assist Staff Nurses in assessing and orienting new admissions to the nursing home.
• Conduct nursing rounds alongside Staff Nurses to monitor resident health and needs.
• Support Staff Nurses in handling medications to residents accurately and timely.
• Act as first responder in emergencies by initiating appropriate actions and alerting Staff Nurses.
• Arrange and coordinate resident participation in prescribed therapies and medical check-ups, including transport logistics.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation of all nursing care provided.
• Supervise junior care staff to ensure residents' comfort and personal hygiene are maintained.
• Oversee junior staff in monitoring and recording residents' vital signs regularly.
• Guide junior staff in safely transferring and positioning non-ambulant residents to prevent injury.
• Assist junior staff in serving diets and feeding residents as needed.
• Perform additional duties assigned by Staff Nurses or Nurse Managers to support nursing operations

Education

Enrolled with Singapore Nursing Board

ITE Certificate in Nursing

Diploma or Degree in Nursing (if foreign trained)
