Job summary

VANGUARD HEALTHCARE PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking experienced Senior Nurses/Managers to lead care delivery across our residential facilities.

You will analyse and refine care plans, supervise Enrolled Nurses and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, person-centred care. The role requires a Diploma in Nursing, with advanced MH qualifications preferred; senior posts demand 7–8 years' public healthcare or nursing home experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution approved by Singapore Nursing Board.
• Post basic/advance diploma in Mental Health or psychiatric experience welcome.
• Strong communications and people engagement skills; proficiency in local languages preferred.
• Good organisational ability and ability to form networks with stakeholders.
• Able to work shifts; candidates with nursing qualification without experience considered.
• Senior positions require 7–8 years of experience, preferably in public healthcare or nursing homes.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

Providing quality care

• Work with Senior/Nurse Manager to analyse and evaluate nursing care plan provided for the residents.
• Co-ordinate with Enrolled Nurses to implement care plan such as medication, hygiene care, social and physical activities for the residents.
• Identify symptoms of residents that are related to illnesses and/or decline in functional and cognitive abilities and advocate early medical attention.

Training & Development

• Mentor and guide Enrolled Nurses, Nursing Aides/ Assistants and Healthcare Assistants in performing their functional duties.
• Participate in relevant quality improvement and assessment activities.

Administration and management

• Educate family members of residents on the residents’ health conditions and help them gain understanding on the holistic care provided.
• Ensure all documentation of residents’ case is maintained appropriately.
• Deputise Senior/Nurse Manager in his/her absence.
• Any other duty as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Senior/Nurse Manager.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution as approved by Singapore Nursing Board.
• Nurses with post basic/advance diploma in Mental Health or those with previous experience in psychiatric setting are welcome to apply.
• Demonstrate good communications and people engagement skills, preferably the use of local languages and dialects.
• Good organisational ability.
• Able to form networks and strong linkages with stakeholders.
• Able to work shifts.
• Candidates with the relevant nursing qualification without experience will be considered.
• For Senior positions, at least 7 to 8 years of experience, preferably with experience in public healthcare or nursing home sector.
