Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Staff Firmware Security Engineer to lead cybersecurity architecture across multiple embedded product platforms. You will drive secure-by-design practices, guide vulnerability remediation, and ensure compliance with IEC 62443 and NIST standards.

The role requires 7+ years in embedded firmware, with 5+ years in firmware security, and deep expertise in C/C++, cryptography, secure boot, and secure updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of embedded firmware development experience, including minimum 5+ years in firmware security or embedded cybersecurity.
• Demonstrated technical leadership across products or platforms.
• Experience driving cybersecurity initiatives and influencing architecture decisions.
• Expert in C/C++ and real-time embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of cybersecurity solutions across embedded/industrial product platforms.
• Define product cybersecurity strategies and secure-by-design principles across the lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership for embedded security technologies and security monitoring.
• Lead threat modeling, security risk assessments, and remediation planning.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 62443, NIST, ISA/IEC industrial security requirements, and secure SDLC processes.
