Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. Singapore seeks a research engineer to develop, optimize, and characterize thin film deposition (CVD) processes for high-performance memory applications. You will design experiments, analyze data, and communicate results in technical forums.

Collaborating with Process Integration, Metrology, and Manufacturing, you will support process transfer to pilot lines and drive AI-enabled improvements in daily work while maintaining rigorous documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• PhD, or Master’s ≥3 yrs, or Bachelor’s ≥5 yrs of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related field
• Demonstrated foundation in thin film deposition and characterization; R&D/PD environment readiness is important for this role.
• Fundamentals of thin film deposition and characterization; DOE/SPC basics; understanding plasma/vacuum systems and process chemistry relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and characterize thin film processes (CVD) to meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability targets.
• Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and communicate results in appropriate technical forums.
• Perform film characterization using SEM, TEM, XPS, SIMS, AFM and correlate results to process outcomes.
• Collaborate with multi-functional partners to ensure robust processes that meet physical/electrical requirements.
