Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore is seeking an Engineer, Firmware Development for SSDs. You will develop and test firmware IP subsystems that meet stringent specifications and contribute to product milestones.

The role requires embedded C programming, strong debugging skills, and collaboration across teams, with PCIe/NVMe/storage experience preferred and NAND knowledge advantageous. A Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with firmware/embedded programming (C) and debugging.
• Experience with storage interfaces, PCIe/NVMe is a plus.
• Experience working with NAND would be an advantage.
• At least 2 years or equivalent experience in the embedded systems development field.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware IP subsystems for SSD products to meet the technical specifications across performance, endurance, capacity, functionality and quality/reliability.
• Develop a firmware unit and functional tests to ensure the firmware subsystem meets quality, functional and performance requirements at each integration milestone.
