Job summary

1100 Micron SemiAsiaOP Pte Ltd in Singapore is looking for a firmware engineer to develop IP subsystems for SSD products. The role involves ensuring compliance with technical specifications and developing functional tests, demanding strong collaboration and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with firmware/embedded programming (primary C programming) and debugging.
• Experience working with storage interfaces, ideally PCIe/NVMe, considered a plus.
• Experience working in NAND is an advantage.
• At least 2 years or equivalent experience in embedded systems development.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware IP subsystems for SSD products that meet or exceed the requirements of the technical spec matrix: Performance, Endurance, Capacity, Functionality, and Quality/Reliability.
• Develop firmware unit and functional tests to ensure the firmware subsystem meets quality, functional, and performance requirements at each integration breakthrough in the product development lifecycle.
• Communicate consistently with management, multidisciplinary team members, and the firmware team, providing detailed and accurate information and project status updates.
• Develop and maintain collaborative, open, and constructive relationships with peers and management.
• Provide technical capability that continuously improves team involvement, morale, and efficiency.
• Work to continuously improve technical capability and communication skills.
