Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Firmware Engineer in Singapore to build high-performance controller firmware for memory systems. You will develop firmware IP subsystems for SSDs, write QA tests, and triage issues across a cross-functional team.

You’ll lead or mentor engineers while improving power, latency, and SOC complexity. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in embedded firmware, strong C and Rust skills, and familiarity with PCIe/NVMe or NAND storage.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelors in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years of embedded firmware development and debugging.
• Expertise in C and Rust programming languages.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience leading or supervising engineers is a plus.
• Python experience is advantageous.
• Experience with PCIe/NVMe storage interfaces is a plus.
• Knowledge of NAND flash and non-volatile storage is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware IP subsystems for SSD products per technical specs.
• Create firmware unit and functional tests to meet quality and performance goals.
• Triage failures, file bug reports, and support issue isolation with teams.
• Provide detailed status updates to management and cross-functional peers.
• Foster collaborative relationships and continue personal and team growth.
