Job summary

KLA-Belgium is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites locally and worldwide, ensuring equipment meets performance specs. You will perform setup, alignment, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair; complete post-install support, coordinate with customers to minimize downtime, and travel >80% for installations.

A Master's or Bachelor's in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent is required; 3+ years semiconductor equipment

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of semiconductor equipment experience in fabrication or testing environments.
• Experience with eBeam tooling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites locally and worldwide.
• Set up, align, calibrate, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair highly complex equipment.
• Provide post-install support and assist other field service engineers as needed.
• Coordinate with customers to minimize downtime and assure system performance.
• Prepare field service reports and share recurring issues with support functions.
• Travel >80% for installation and field support.

Job description

Responsibilities

Perform installation of semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites locally and worldwide while ensuring the systems meet specified performance specifications.

Responsible for installation activities includes but not limited to setup, alignment, calibration, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of highly complex capital equipment.

Post installation after support, assists other field service engineers as appropriate.

Assures operational quality of system equipment & coordinates actions with customers to minimize down time.

Prepares field service reports on customer support activity and provides documentation to other supporting functions on re-occurring problems.

Require high flexibility, adaptability, and autonomy due to the job includes > 80% travel for installation and field over support.

Qualifications

• Masters/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• More than 3 years' semiconductor equipment experience.
• Preferable with eBeam tool experience.
• Able to travel overseas extensively.
