Job summary

KLA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and service semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites worldwide, with extensive travel (>80%). Based in Singapore, you will set up, align, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair highly complex systems.

You will document field activities, coordinate with customers to minimize downtime, and contribute to high service quality through proactive problem resolution.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• More than 3 years' semiconductor equipment experience.
• Preferable with eBeam tool experience.
• Able to travel overseas extensively.

The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

• Perform installation of semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites locally and worldwide while ensuring the systems meet specified performance specifications.
• Responsible for installation activities includes but not limited to setup, alignment, calibration, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of highly complex capital equipment.
• Post installation over support, assists other field service engineers as appropriate. Assures operational quality of system equipment & coordinates actions with customers to minimize down time.
• Prepares fields service reports on customer support activity and provides documentation to other supporting functions on re-occurring problems.
• Require high flexibility, adaptability, and autonomy due to the job includes > 80% travel for installation and field over support.

Minimum Qualifications

• Masters/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• More than 3 years' semiconductor equipment experience
• Preferable with eBeam tool experience.
• Able to travel ioverseas extensively
