Job summary

Lam Research Singapore seeks a senior Finance/Accounting leader to oversee Accounting & Statutory Compliance for SEA regional activities. You’ll supervise the accounting and tax team, drive monthly closes, tax reporting, and revenue recognition processes, while partnering with business teams to improve profitability.

The role requires extensive finance experience, cross-functional collaboration, and strong technical accounting skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance/Accounting or professional certification (CIMA/CPA/ACCA).
• 15+ years in finance/accounting with >5 years auditing/SOX and team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Singapore FRS.
• Experience leading system-improvement projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive accounting close, review journal entries, and coordinate with outsourced accounting teams.
• Manage tax reporting for multiple entities including GST and corporate tax.

The impact you’ll make

The role will be responsible for all aspects of Accounting & Statutory Compliance of all activities of SEA Regional Finance. This includes but is not limited to payroll, statutory, accounting, tax and business financial analysis activities. The employee will be required to supervise the accounting and tax team, and drive accounting/compliance projects. The role will also support revenue recognition, and various aspects of distribution & business finance transactions & analytics.

What You’ll Do

• Drive monthly and quarterly financial close accounting analysis & entries. This includes guiding, reviewing, approving journal entries of the team and the outsource accounting support team
• Responsible for all aspects of Tax reporting for Lam Research Singapore, Lam Research Malaysia including Indirect Taxes (GST) for three entities, in particular the Singapore GST Compliance of the Lam Research International Sdn Bhd. In addition to the existing entities, the role shall support the compliance & tax of new business entities as created under the SEA business, e.g. Vietnam, Thailand, etc. Business compliance refers to statutory reporting, such as audits & tax including Corporate Tax reporting, Withholding Tax reporting, GST filing, Transfer Price matters of relevant entities
• Ensure smooth running of Business Finance Operations by understanding and resolving issues relating to GST, Transfer Pricing, Rebates that may implicate Revenue recognition
• Support internal audits, preparation of schedules, retrieval of information from business partners to deliver compliance & controls
• Business partnering with Account teams & Operations through financial analysis, recommend financial solutions to improve on profitability, AR collectability and ease of revenue recognition
• Undertake streamlining projects and initiatives involving systems improvement, reporting improvement
• Guide & develop the accounting & tax team. Key liaison to ensure smooth support of outsource accounting support
• Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Who We’re Looking For

• Degree in Finance/Accounting modules, or Professional Certification CIMA / CPA / ACCA equivalent with minimum 15 years in Finance / Accounting experience and out of which > 5 years of handling audit / SOX tasks and leading a team (direct or indirect)
• Experience in supporting business finance operations (payroll processing, business forecast, revenue recognition, billing, rebates program management, taxation, etc.) Proven track record of business finance analysis and executive reporting
• Good knowledge of US GAAP and Singapore FRS
• Noteworthy experience in leading systems improvement projects would be an advantage.
• Possesses strong inter-personal and communications skills. Successful examples in cross-functional collaboration, managing / influencing difficult work partners
• Commands good oral and written English
• Has ability to work independently, possesses good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to understand business processes / operations
• Meticulous and maintains detailed and accurate accounting records
• Good time-management and fast in execution

Preferred Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of SAP (ECC or S4 Hana) preferred.
