Job summary

Lam Research Singapore seeks a Manager, Finance & Compliance to lead accounting and statutory compliance across SEA, supervise the accounting and tax teams, drive monthly close, ensure GST and transfer pricing compliance, and support internal audits while partnering with the business to improve profitability and revenue recognition.

You should have a Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting with 15+ years in finance, including SOX/audit tasks, and strong English communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent cert; 15+ years in Finance/Accounting.
• Experience in payroll processing, forecast, revenue recognition, billing, rebates, taxation.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Singapore FRS.
• Proficient in SAP (ECC or S/4HANA).
• Leadership experience and cross-functional collaboration are valued.

Responsibilities

• Drive monthly and quarterly close accounting analyses and journal entries.
• Oversee tax reporting for SEA entities including GST compliance.
• Ensure smooth business finance operations and revenue recognition processes.
• Support internal audits and provide schedules for auditors.
• Lead and develop the accounting & tax team; liaise with outsource providers.

The impact you’ll make

The role will be responsible for all aspects of Accounting & Statutory Compliance of all activities of SEA Regional Finance. This includes but is not limited to payroll, statutory, accounting, tax and business financial analysis activities. The employee will be required to supervise the accounting and tax team, and drive accounting/compliance projects. The role will also support revenue recognition, and various aspects of distribution & business finance transactions & analytics.

What you’ll do

• Drive monthly and quarterly financial close accounting analysis and entries. This includes guide, review, approve journal entries of the team and the outsource accounting support
• Responsible for all aspects of Tax reporting for Lam Research Singapore, Lam Research Malaysia including Indirect Taxes (GST) for three entities, in particular the Singapore GST Compliance of the Lam Research International Sdn Bhd. In addition to the existing entities, the role shall support the compliance & tax of new business entities as created under the SEA business, e.g. Vietnam, Thailand, etc. Business compliance refers to statutory reporting, such as audits & tax including Corporate Tax reporting, Withholding Tax reporting, GST filing, Transfer Price matters of relevant entities
• Ensure smooth running of the Business Finance Operations: Understand and resolve issues relating to GST, Transfer Pricing, Rebates, that may implicate Revenue recognition
• Support internal audits, preparation of schedules, retrieval of information from business partners to deliver compliance and controls
• Business partnering with Account teams & Operations through supporting financial analysis, recommend financial solutions to improve on profitability, AR collectability and ease of revenue recognition
• Undertake streamlining projects and initiatives involving systems improvement, reporting improvement
• Guide & develop the accounting & tax team. Key liaison to ensure smooth support of outsource accounting support
• Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Who we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent professional certifcation (CIMA / CPA / ACCA) with minimum 15 years of Finance / Accounting experience with > 5 years of handling audit / SOX tasks
• Experience in supporting business finance operations (payroll processing, business forecast, revenue recognition, billing, rebates program management, taxation, etc.) Proven track record of business finance analysis and executive reporting
• Good knowledge of US GAAP and Singapore FRS
• Good working knowledge of SAP (ECC or S4 Hana) preferred
• Possesses strong inter-personal and communications skills. Successful examples in cross-functional collaboration, managing / influencing difficult work partners
• Experience in leading a team (direct report or project team) is preferred
• Commands good oral and written English
• Has ability to work independently, possesses good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to understand business processes / operations
• Is meticulous and maintains detailed and accurate accounting records. Efficient in time-management and fast in execution
