Job summary

AWWA LTD. is seeking an engaged educator to plan and monitor IEP/ITP, implement interventions, and support diverse learners in a dynamic classroom setting. You will work with families and the IEP team to promote student growth and successful transitions.

Responsibilities include curriculum planning, documenting progress, and contributing to school events, with a focus on creating a safe, enriching learning environment and ongoing professional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience planning IEP/ITP and tracking student progress.
• Proficient in applying UDL to cater to diverse learners.
• Ability to coordinate with families and IEP teams.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
• Experience in curriculum development and assessment reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan IEP/ITP and monitor progress, evaluate learning, and prepare progress reports.
• Plan daily lesson plans and weekly activities following the UDL framework to support diverse learners.
• Implement intervention strategies and positive behaviour support to improve student behaviour.
• Establish a safe and enriching learning environment within and beyond the classroom.
• Provide support to Teacher Assistants in teaching and learning.
• Work with the IEP Team and families for students’ growth and transitions.
• Assist in coordinating events and committees within the school.
• Share innovative ideas with department and school colleagues.
• Coordinate and lead IEP discussions and case conferences.
• Participate in curriculum planning and development.
• Attend meetings, home visits and staff development trainings.
• Perform administrative duties and timely documentation.
