Job summary

STEADPATH ASIA PTE. LTD. is seeking a Specification Manager in Singapore to drive product specifications with architects, consultants and authorities. You will track pipelines, report on status, and support marketing initiatives to promote branding.

The role requires strong communication, technical drawing interpretation, and a network with industry professionals. Travel and owning a vehicle are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering related to Structural / Building / Construction / Architecture or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in product/system specification work within the construction industry.
• Good understanding of construction practices and/or design compliances in South East Asia.
• Good and wide network of relations with architects / consultants.
• Bi-lingual shall be an advantage; willing to travel; own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Engage architects, consultants, developers, contractors and relevant authorities at concept/design stages to have product specified or approved.
• Track project pipelines to convert specifications toward secured projects.
• Maintain accurate reporting on project status, market activities and opportunities.
• Support marketing and sales objectives through seminars, advertisements, trade fairs and other initiatives.
• Perform market research for expansion opportunities and pricing strategies.
• Support R&D to advise on market needs and strategic product innovation.
• Identify marketing opportunities and benchmark against competitors; develop strategies.
• Meet specification work targets for projects assigned.

Job description

We are representing a leading engineering and construction company, specializing in structural steel works to seek for a Specification Manager to join the team.

Responsibility:

• Reporting to Head of Marketing and Sales
• Engage architects, consultants, developers, contractors, relevant authorities at concept & or design stages to have product specified or approved, etc.
• Track project pipelines to ensure timely conversion of specifications toward projects being secured
• Maintain accurate reporting on project status, market activities, new opportunities, etc.
• Support marketing and sales objectives through seminars, advertisements, trade fairs and other marketing initiatives to promote branding
• Perform market research for expansion opportunities, plans, implementation of strategies
• Support R&D department to advise on market needs and trends, targeting strategic product innovation and invention; aid establishment of pricing strategies
• Identify marketing opportunities / requirements; evaluate competitor's share, competitor's strengths and weaknesses; develop strategies to counter and create a benchmark for product/system
• Meet specification work targets of projects assigned from time to time

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering related to Structural / Building / Construction / Architecture or related discipline
• Relevant experience in product/system specification work within the construction industry
• Good understanding of construction practices and/or design compliances in South East Asia
• Good and wide network of relations with architects / consultants
• Strong presentation, engagement and communication skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively
• Bi-lingual shall be an advantage
• Willing to travel
• Possess own vehicle
