Job summary

MINDSG LTD is seeking a Learning Support Officer (LSO) to assist teachers and school staff in delivering inclusive education for students with special needs. You will help prepare, adapt, and implement instructional materials, create visual aids and videos, and support assessment data collection and analysis.

The role includes coordinating CCAs, managing resources, and contributing to PBS strategies and behavioural observations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or relevant qualification in education, media, psychology, or related fields.
• Any relevant professional certifications will be considered an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support lesson preparation by adapting and assembling teaching materials for diverse needs (≤140 chars).
• Produce and edit videos and visual aids for integrated curriculum or class projects (≤140 chars).
• Assist with differentiated learning strategies and classroom routines to reinforce objectives (≤140 chars).
• Help manage learning spaces and materials to be well-organised and conducive to learning (≤140 chars).
• Collect and collate student work samples and assessment data across domains (≤140 chars).
• Support administration and logistics of assessment-related tasks (≤140 chars).
• Support CCAs by helping plan, run, and supervise sessions (≤140 chars).
• Assist in school-wide programmes such as thematic learning weeks and showcases (≤140 chars).
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to observe and document development (≤140 chars).
• Assist in data collection and basic analysis to support PBS decision making (≤140 chars).
• Support participation during out-of-class learning and enrichment activities (≤140 chars).
• Engage in school training sessions to enhance understanding of special education practices (≤140 chars).
• Develop skills in tools like video editing, data entry systems, and LMS platforms (≤140 chars).
• Attend regular team meetings to align support strategies with goals (≤140 chars).
• Observe teaching and therapy professionals to learn differentiated instruction (≤140 chars).
• Stay updated on inclusive education approaches to contribute to initiatives (≤140 chars).
