Job summary

MIJ Hub is seeking a Special Needs Educator Aide to support the Special Needs Educator in delivering personalized education to students with diverse learning needs. You will assist in classroom management, support daily activities, and help implement IEPs under guidance.

The role involves collaborating with therapists and staff, ensuring safety, and maintaining a supportive learning environment for students aged 4 to 40. On-site position with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Patience, empathy, and understanding for diverse learning needs.
• Excellent communication with educators, staff and parents.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Basic knowledge of assistive technology used in special education is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in classroom management and preparing lesson materials.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support during lessons.
• Support with daily tasks and transitions for students.
• Monitor safety and supervise activities in and out of the classroom.
• Collaborate with educators and therapists to support student progress.
