Job summary

MIJ Hub (My Inspiring Journey Hub) in Singapore seeks a dedicated Special Needs Educator Aide to support the lead educator in delivering personalized education to diverse learners aged 4 to 40. You will assist with classroom management, daily activities, and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) under supervision.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills for multitasking and materials management.
• Patience, empathy and understanding when working with diverse learners.
• Excellent communication with educators, staff and parents.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic knowledge of assistive technology and tools used in special education.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Needs Educator in preparing lesson materials and maintaining a structured learning environment.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students during lessons.
• Help students with day-to-day tasks and use assistive technology as needed.
• Support behavioral, emotional, and safety aspects under the educator's guidance.
• Collaborate with therapists and staff, and communicate with parents as directed.
• Assist in preparing lesson resources and maintain attendance and progress records.
