Job summary

MIJ Hub seeks a Special Needs Educator Aide to support the Special Needs Educator in delivering personalized education to students with diverse needs. You’ll assist in classroom management and daily activities under experienced supervision.

Responsibilities include one-on-one support, adapting materials for individual needs, monitoring progress, and maintaining safe, inclusive learning environments for students aged 4 to 40.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Nitec or above in Special Education, Early Childhood, or a related field.
• Certification in special needs education or early childhood education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Needs Educator in preparing lesson materials and maintaining an organized classroom.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students during lessons.
• Help students with day-to-day tasks and transitions between activities.
• Support behavioral management and follow positive behavior plans under guidance.
• Assist in implementing IEPs and adapting learning materials to student needs.
• Supervise students and ensure safety during activities inside and outside the classroom.
• Maintain attendance, progress, and behavior records under the lead educator.
