Job summary

Towners Gardens School in Singapore is seeking a Special Education Teacher to deliver student-centered, evidence-based teaching that supports diverse learning needs and holistic development.

You will build strong student relationships in a safe, structured classroom, manage behaviour, and support school activities and administrative tasks while collaborating with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• GCE A-Levels, Diploma or Degree in any discipline; or Diploma in Autism, Education or Special Education.
• Relevant experience in teaching special needs will be an advantage.
• Able to work with children/youth 7–18 with learning difficulties and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan engaging and well-paced lessons accommodating diverse learner profiles.
• Deliver lessons using evidence-based pedagogy and meaningful activities to meet needs.
• Implement assessments to monitor progress and provide feedback.
• Build relationships with students with care and encouragement.
• Collaborate with families, therapists and staff to support goals.
• Create safe, structured classroom routines and manage behaviour.
• Participate in school activities and admin tasks.
