Job summary

Sunnyhill Ace Pte. Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Special Education educator to work with students with special educational needs, collaborating with school staff and parents to plan targeted interventions.

You will implement IEPs, provide in-class support with visual prompts, deliver behavioral strategies, and prepare customized learning resources for ASD and dyslexia. Applicants should hold a Diploma in Special Education and possess at least three years’ experience in MOE mainstream schools;

Qualifications

• Diploma in Special Education or equivalent certification.
• 3 years of mainstream MOE experience supporting students with SEND.
• 3 years hands-on experience in dyslexia intervention or similar remediation.
• Strong collaboration, interpersonal skills and passion for guiding children with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• IEP implementation: remediation, withdrawal support, and executing IEPs.
• In-class support: prompt attention, stay on-task, guide routines with visual aids.
• Behavioral interventions: calm down, time-outs when needed during class activities.
• Resource preparation: design learning resources for ASD profiles and dyslexia worksheets.
• Skills training: handwriting, organization, anger management, routine adaptation, queuing.
• Social integration: Circles of Friends and pre-orientation tours for ASD students.
• Progress tracking: use progress monitoring tools and document interventions.
• Stakeholder collaboration: advise teachers/parents on progression and home reinforcement.
• External synergy: collaborate with SEN institutions and multi-agency professionals.
