Job summary

The Garcha Group invites applications for a kitchen role at its Singapore hotels. The successful candidate will set up and stock stations, prepare ingredients, and cook menu items in collaboration with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes.

We seek individuals who can maintain hygiene, adhere to safety standards, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while supporting colleagues and guests with outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen environment preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and portions accurately.
• Strong focus on hygiene and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock kitchen stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items in collaboration with the kitchen team.
• Cook and plate dishes ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
• Follow executive or sous chef’s instructions and communicate effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
• Assist with inventory and stock replenishment as needed.
• Ensure compliance with nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies


• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)


• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff


• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions


• Clean up station and take care of leftover food


• Stock inventory appropriately


• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion


• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards


• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
