Job summary

The Garcha Group in Singapore is seeking kitchen staff to join our boutique hotels. You will set up workstations, prep ingredients, and cook menu items in close collaboration with the kitchen team to ensure timely, high-quality outputs for service periods.

The role requires adherence to sanitation standards and teamwork with peers and management. On-site work at our Singapore properties is expected, with Marriott-linked associate benefits available.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen operations and food preparation preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock kitchen stations with necessary supplies.
• Prepare ingredients for service, including chopping and basic prep.
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen team.
• Follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
• Clean up station and manage leftovers.
• Maintain inventory and ensure timely, high-quality food output.
• Adhere to nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude with coworkers and customers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• Any other duties/tasks as requested by management
