SHAN LI YOU, a natural Yunnan cuisine brand, is hiring a Sous Chef at Jewel Changi Airport, Singapore. You will support daily kitchen operations, maintain food quality and hygiene, and lead the kitchen team to ensure top service.

The role requires at least 3 years in Chinese cuisine and some leadership experience, with a focus on food safety and fast-paced shifts. Competitive salary and benefits apply.

POSITION

Sous Chef

SALARY

S$3,800-S$5,500 per month

ROLE SUMMARY

Support daily kitchen operations, food quality, hygiene and the kitchen team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations.
• Supervise food preparation, cooking and presentation standards.
• Assign work and train kitchen employees.
• Manage ingredients, inventory, wastage and kitchen hygiene.
• Ensure compliance with food safety requirements and company SOPs.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 3 years of Chinese-cuisine kitchen experience.
• Kitchen supervision or team-leading experience is preferred.
• Good food-safety and hygiene awareness.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen and on rostered shifts.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

10 net working hours plus 2 hours of meal and rest breaks per day; 5.5 rest days per month; rostered shifts. Salary range is inclusive of basic salary and fixed overtime allowance. Overtime is compensated at 1.5x the hourly basic rate in accordance with the Employment Act.
