Job summary

Gaston Pte. Ltd. in Millenia Walk, Singapore, is seeking a passionate sommelier to lead wine service in our new French brasserie-rotisserie and wine bar. You will provide wine recommendations, maintain and develop the wine list, and contribute to the overall guest experience.

You will train the service team, organise tastings and events, manage wine purchasing and stock control, build relationships with customers and suppliers, and help drive wine revenue both on-premise and retail.

Responsibilities

• Report to the General Manager and take on duties as directed.
• Provide wine recommendations and professional service to guests.
• Manage the retail wine shop, displays, pricing and stock availability.
• Handle wine purchasing, ordering, inventory and stock control.
• Maintain and develop the wine list in collaboration with management.
• Organise wine tastings, dinners, masterclasses and other wine events.
• Develop retail wine sales and build relationships with regular customers.
• Train and educate the service team on wines, regions, vintages and food pairings.
• Work actively on the restaurant floor and contribute to the overall guest experience.
• Maintain strong relationships with wine suppliers and distributors.
• Help drive both on-premise and retail wine revenue.

We are opening New French Brasserie-Rotisserie and Wine Bar in Millenia Walk. We are looking for a passionate sommelier.

Your duties would be:

• You shall report to the General Manager of the Company. You shallundertake the duties and responsibility of your position or such other dutiesand responsibilities as and when directed by the Company.
• Provide wine recommendations and professional service to restaurant and wine-bar guests.
• Manage the retail wine shop , ensuring attractive displays, correct pricing and stock availability.
• Handle wine purchasing, ordering, inventory and stock control .
• Maintain and develop the wine list in collaboration with management.
• Organise regular wine tastings, winemaker dinners, masterclasses and other wine events .
• Develop retail wine sales and build relationships with regular customers.
• Train and educate the service team on wines, regions, vintages and food pairing.
• Work actively on the restaurant floor and contribute to the overall guest experience.
• Maintain strong relationships with wine suppliers and distributors.
