Job summary

Vinova PTE. LTD. is seeking a senior Solution Architect to own the technical strategy for a large PWA initiative in Singapore’s education sector. You will manage end-to-end architecture across a React PWA shell, a Microsoft Power Platform layer, and cross-cloud integration with GCC.

This hands-on role shapes system scalability, security, and the mobile experience for thousands of daily users, collaborating with government and university stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering/IT experience.
• 5+ years in a named Solution/Enterprise Architect role.
• 3+ years hands-on Microsoft Power Platform architecture.
• 3+ years architecting Azure environments.
• 5+ years in API design and identity federation (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, WebAuthn).
• 3+ years in security architecture and threat modelling.

Responsibilities

• Define and own macro-level solution architecture; lead workshop sessions.
• Design and govern Azure-based cloud architecture and cross-cloud connectivity.
• Lead security initiatives, threat modelling, and OWASP-aligned governance.
• Architect high-performance API gateways and authentication flows.
• Produce architecture artifacts (HLD, ADRs, C4 diagrams) and mentor teams.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly pragmatic, senior-levelSolution Architectto lead the technical strategy for a high-impactProgressive Web App (PWA)initiative for Republic Polytechnic, serving approximately 14,000 students and staff. In this role, you will own the end-to-end architecture across three critical layers: a React PWA shell, a Microsoft Power PlatformeServiceslayer, and the cross-cloud integration bridging Microsoft Commercial Cloud with Singapore'sGovernment Commercial Cloud (GCC).

This is a hands-on architectural leadership role. Your decisions in the first six weeks will directly dictate system scalability, security, and the mobile experience for thousands of daily iOS and Android users.

Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership:Define and own the macro-level solution architecture. Lead architecture discovery sessions and API Discovery workshops with key client-side stakeholders.

• Cloud & Cross-Cloud Integration:Personally design and govern Azure-based cloud architecture, including Azure API Management (APIM), Functions, App Services, Redis caching, and Entra ID.Establishsecure cross-cloud connectivity between Microsoft Commercial Cloud and Singapore GCC environments.

• Security & Threat Modelling:Lead security architecture initiatives, running comprehensive threat modeling workshops usingSTRIDEmethodologyand ensuring strict compliance with OWASP best practices.

• PWA & Platform Strategy:Architect high-performance API gateways, authentication flows (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML,WebAuthn/passkeys), and define specificstrategiesto overcome iOS Safari/WebKit limitations (e.g., storage eviction, Web Push).

• Governance & Documentation-First:Author andmaintainproduction-ready architectural artifacts, including High-Level Design (HLD), Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), and C4 diagrams.

• Collaboration & Mentorship:Act as a technical bridge, translating complex architecture into business-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders. Partner with Tech Leads to guide engineering teams and uplift technical capabilities.

Key Requirements

• Experience:10+ years of total professional experience in software engineering/IT, withminimum5+ yearsspecifically in a named Solution/Enterprise Architect role.

• Microsoft Power Platform:3+ years of hands-on architecture experience withMicrosoftPower Pages, Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.

• Azure Cloud Architecture:3+ years architecting Azure environments (App Services, APIM, Functions, Redis, Entra ID / Azure AD).

• API & Identity Management:5+ years in API design (REST) and deep infrastructure knowledge of identity federation (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML,WebAuthn/passkeys, SSO).

• Security & Governance:3+ years of experience in security architecture, STRIDE threat modelling, and authoring architectural artifacts (HLD, ADRs, C4 diagrams).

Preferred Qualifications

• Singapore Government Project Delivery:Prior delivery experience with SG Government frameworks (IM8, SGDS, WOGAA,ShipHats2.0, GCC, or PeopleSoft/OASIS).

• Advanced PWA Expertise:Deep understanding of Service Workers and WebKit/Safari quirks on iOS.

• Domain Knowledge:Experience in Higher Education / Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) IT systems (Student Information Systems, attendance, grading).

• Legacy Modernization & Analytics:Familiarity withOutSystems(strangler fig pattern,dual-write) and exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, or Copilot Studio.

• Accessibility:Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
