Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Experience designing enterprise solutions using SOA, microservices, serverless, cloud and hybrid cloud.
• Hands-on with Java/Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
• Experience managing large-scale technology implementations and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical solution designs and back-end integration architecture.
• Provide technical guidance and governance across cloud architectures, DevOps, and solution delivery.
• Monitor implementation quality and ensure alignment with architecture and project plans.
• Document architecture decisions, risks, and outcomes for governance reviews.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support the design, review, and delivery of enterprise technology solutions for business transformation initiatives. You will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and application owners to design scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions while ensuring successful implementation across integrated systems.

This role requires a strong technical background in modern application architecture, cloud technologies, enterprise integration, and solution governance.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

• Design end-to-end technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Develop architecture diagrams, integration flows, and solution blueprints.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies to ensure scalability, resilience, automation, and maintainability.
• Identify impacted applications and systems while defining integration approaches.
• Ensure solution designs comply with Enterprise Architecture (EA) principles, standards, and governance.
• Prepare architecture documentation and obtain architecture review approvals.

Solution Delivery & Implementation

• Translate business requirements into technical solution designs.
• Define backend integration architecture and implementation strategies.
• Support vendors and development teams throughout solution implementation.
• Ensure delivery aligns with approved architecture and project plans.
• Identify project risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve technical issues.
• Monitor implementation quality and provide architecture governance throughout project execution.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical guidance and architectural recommendations to project teams.
• Evaluate technology options, trade-offs, constraints, and implementation approaches.
• Resolve architectural challenges and technical ambiguities.
• Collaborate with enterprise, infrastructure, security, and domain architects to ensure end-to-end solution alignment.
• Drive adoption of best practices in cloud architecture, DevOps, and modern application development.

Stakeholder Management & Documentation

• Partner with Project Managers, PMO, vendors, and technical teams to track solution progress.
• Prepare technical reports, architecture documentation, and status updates for stakeholders and leadership.
• Document architecture decisions, technical risks, issues, and implementation outcomes.
• Support governance reviews throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Enterprise Application Architect.
• Strong experience designing enterprise solutions using:Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)Microservices ArchitectureServerless ArchitectureCloud and Hybrid Cloud platforms
• Experience managing large-scale technology implementation projects and external vendors.
• Hands-on experience with:JavaSpring Boot / Spring CloudRESTful APIsAWS Cloud Services
• Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and backend system integration.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases including:MySQLPostgreSQLMongoDB
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Node.js is advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for enterprise applications across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent).
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience within financial services or insurance is an advantage.
• Mandarin language proficiency is preferred for stakeholder communication.
