Singapore Pools was established by the Singapore government on 23 May 1968 to provide safe and trusted betting to counter illegal gambling. As a not-for-profit organisation, it makes contributions to the Tote Board to fund a wide range of causes in social service, community development, sports, arts, education and health sectors. Job Purpose
The role is involved in planning, analysis, detailed design, coding, testing and implementation of development and/or enhancements and provide ongoing application support including for projects. This includes creating, executing and documenting the tests necessary to ensure applications meet business, functional and performance requirements for enhancements/fixes, product upgrades, projects, and reports bugs to team lead, vendor, project team, and accurately communicates impact of bugs. The role works closely with business stakeholders and technology partners to gather, analyse, validate and translate business requirements into business aligned technology solutions. The role is also responsible for the quality and integrity of the Incident Management process, identify and log incidents/problems, restore normal services and minimize adverse impact on operations, monitor all events that occur in the relevant applications/system to allow normal operations and to detect and elevate exception conditions.
What You'll Do
- Work with the business to gather and define requirements and translate them into design specifications.
- Identify, verify and document functional and technical requirements using established requirements management methodology and tools.
- Review all user stories and requirement documents, receive feedback and ensure all issues related to the requirements are resolved in a timely manner.
- Develop new code or reuse existing codes to implement enhancements or new business solutions and maintain documentation of solutions.
- Engage in the development and configuration of the application components from conceptualization through to stabilization.
- Identify new software technologies to fit specialized business needs and configurations.
- Write and execute comprehensive unit tests plans and test cases.
- Perform performance testing to ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved.
- Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.
- Manage the test phases including system integration, functional testing, user acceptance testing and regression testing.
- Develop required testing deliverables including testing plan, approach, testing scenarios, conditions, expected results, test scripts, and testing control sheets in accordance with the established standards.
- Execute formal review cycles including informal review, formal review, testing sign-off.
- Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders including service transition and operations and secure the requisite sign-offs.
- Facilitate automated testing throughout the test lifecycle, embed risk based testing, and reuse of test scripts.
- Retest corrections to ensure problems are resolved and communicate with the relevant stakeholders accordingly.
- Supervise vendor on the design, coding and testing based on user and technical requirements.
- Manage vendor SLAs and ensure outsourced activities are performed to the standards.
- Work closely with Product Owner and Business to support new product launches and enhancements.
- Provide support to audit activities.
- Manage day-to-day operations management activities including the investigation and resolution of incidents, problems, and working assigned queues.
- Conduct prioritization of problems, incidents, and service requests, leveraging business understanding and technical comprehension of the issue.
- Manage communication of incidents, problems and escalations to internal and external partners/vendors as required.
- Liaise with business and operational users to resolve support issues.
- Liaise with user on enquiries, usage of systems, and / or any other queries pertaining to business systems.
Who You Are
- Degree-qualified in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or IT related discipline, with 3+ years of experience in developing and implementing applications, application enhancements and automated testing.
- Ability to collaborate, communicate, and triage technical issues across teams.
- Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies.
- Expertise in the technical domain knowledge and good understanding of underlying business processes and systems.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of ITIL incident management processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaboratively work with cross functional and diverse teams including business to deliver results.
- Strong written and communication skills across organizational levels, internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies, standards and automated testing tool.s
- Strong willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and platform.
- Experience in JIRA, Confluence.
- Detail oriented, well-organized and self-motivated, comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to continuous improvement by expanding knowledge across new business and functional areas.
- Strong working knowledge in migration of custom Fiori applications from Neo to Cloud Foundry in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) including setup and configuration.
For S/4HANA Role
- Strong working knowledge in Core ERP e.g. SAP FICO, Project System, Sales and Distribution, Treasury for S4/HANA Public Cloud, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Knowledge in Coupa is advantageous.
- Technical knowledge in at least two or more skillsets: S/4HANA config, configure/build SAP integration flow (iFlow), build UI/UX, automation/workflow with/without customization in SAP BTP, SAPUI5, SAP Fiori, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Adobe Lifecycle Designer with S4/HANA, SAP ABAP, C#, Visual Basic, ASP.Net.
For SuccessFactors Role
- Strong working knowledge in Core HR e.g. Employee Central, Recruiting, Time Off, Claims, Work Schedule/Timesheet & Attendances, Talent Management, Compensation, Employee Central Payroll for SAP SuccessFactors and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Knowledge in Coupa is advantageous.
- Technical knowledge in at least two or more skillsets: SuccessFactors config, SAP ABAP, SAPUI5, SAP Fiori, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, SAP Smartforms/Adobeform, configure/build SAP integration flow (iFlow), build UI/UX, automation/workflow with/without customization in SAP BTP, C#, Visual Basic, ASP.Net.
