Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in software testing.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Robot Framework, SikuliX, Selenium, Playwright, Micro Focus Testing Tools (Mobile Center, UFT, QC, Sprinter), EggPlant, or Pega Unit Test (preferred).
• Familiarity with agile development environments is an advantage.
• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Certified Software Testing Professional (CSTP) and/or Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Design: define and document user story acceptance criteria in collaboration with Product Owners and BAs.
• Test Automation & Execution: develop and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and regression suites; prioritize high-value tests.
• Testing Practices: perform exploratory testing; refine smoke tests for Development CI; lead system integration testing.
• User Acceptance & Defect Management: manage UAT planning and execution; oversee defect lifecycle and artifacts.
• Continuous Improvement & Secondary Roles: drive agile testing improvements; may take on roles like low-code dev or Security Ops Engineer; promote XP practices like code reviews and unit testing.
• Compliance: ensure development processes follow IT management policies, quality standards, and security guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Design:
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to define and document user story acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze complex software systems and design holistic test strategies.
• Test Automation & Execution:
  • Research and implement emerging technologies for test automation frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and regression test suites.
  • Use a risk-based approach for test automation to prioritize high-value tests.
• Testing Practices:
  • Conduct time-boxed exploratory testing for new features and functionalities.
  • Refine smoke test suites for Development CI environments.
  • Lead system integration testing across multiple systems.
• User Acceptance & Defect Management:
  • Manage user acceptance testing, including planning and execution.
  • Oversee the defect lifecycle, maintaining test artifacts and repositories.
• Continuous Improvement & Secondary Roles:
  • Drive continuous improvement in agile testing practices, tools, and methodologies.
  • Take on secondary roles such as low-code application development engineer or Security Ops Engineer.
  • Enhance software quality through XP practices such as code reviews and unit testing.
• Compliance:
  • Ensure all development processes, procedures, and systems adhere to IT management policies, quality standards, and security guidelines.

Skills & Qualifications

Educational Background

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.

Technical Expertise

• Minimum 3 years of experience in exploratory testing and regression test automation.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Robot Framework, SikuliX, Selenium, Playwright, Micro Focus Testing Tools (Mobile Center, UFT, QC, and Sprinter), EggPlant, or Pega Unit Test (preferred).
• Familiarity with agile development environments is an advantage.

Certifications

• Certified Software Testing Professional (CSTP) and/or Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) certifications are preferred.
