Job summary

MANPOWER STAFFING SERVICES (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to develop testing strategies, implement automation, and ensure code quality across features.

You will collaborate with agile teams, drive TDD/CI/CD, and mentor peers while improving testing frameworks like Cypress and performance tools like K6.

Qualifications

• Degree in software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in software quality testing and automation.
• Proficiency in testing techniques including TDD, CI, and CD.
• Experience with open-source testing frameworks (preferably Cypress) and performance tools such as K6.
• Experience in Agile development using Scrum.
• Strong self-discipline and mentoring mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Create, enhance, and manage an automated test framework and test environments to streamline the testing process.
• Conduct thorough testing of new features, identifying and documenting any defects or issues encountered.
• Perform a variety of tests, including manual, functional, performance, exploratory, and user acceptance tests (UAT).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.
• Advocate the adoption of relevant and up-to-date technologies, practices, and tools within Agile software projects.
• Contribute actively to technical discussions and solutioning sessions, offering valuable insights and suggestions.
• Conduct code reviews and promote the implementation of best practices across the development team.

Requirements

• Degree in software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Around 3-5 years of professional experience in software quality testing and automation.
• Good understanding of testing techniques, including test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD).
• Proficiency in working with open-source automated testing frameworks, preferably Cypress, and open source performance testing tools such as K6.
• Experience working in Agile development teams, utilizing methodologies like Scrum.
• Demonstrates high expectations of oneself.
• Enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and mentoring fellow developers.
